Have any of your products ever been tested on animals?

Afterglow's products have never been and never will be tested on animals. Afterglow also do not purchase ingredients for their products that have been tested on animals.

I'm vegan. Do your products contain animal products or bi-products?

Afterglow Lip Gloss and Powder Creme contain unbleached beeswax and organic lanolin. Afterglow Lipstick contains organic lanolin and Afterglow Eye and Lip Liners contain beeswax. Their powder products (Powder Mineral Foundations, Powder Mineral Eye Shadow and Liners and Mineral Glow Bronzer) are only made of inorganic minerals and pigments and do not contain any animal product or bi-product.

I have tried some other very popular "bare mineral" cosmetics and found that they leave my skin with this weird “glowy” look that gives my skin an unnatural sheen (and not in a good way!). Does your mineral makeup do this?

NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT! A few popular mineral cosmetic lines mix a chemical called Bismuth Oxichloride into their products. Bismuth Oxichloride leaves the products with a highly silky look and feel. Unfortunately, this chemical leaves a strange, undesirable "glowy" look to the skin.

Makeup that covers well is usually heavy. Are your foundations heavy?

I have very sensitive skin and eyes. Does your makeup contain irritants or chemicals that may cause a reaction?

All Afterglow cosmetics are made of the highest quality, pure natural ingredients without chemicals. Afterglow cosmetics do not contain irritating ingredients, cheap fillers, oils, binders, waxes, petrochemicals, synthetic humectants, dyes or preservatives that generally cause sensitive people to react to commercial cosmetics. The likelihood of a reaction to mineral cosmetics is extremely rare.
